Homecoming highlights
Spotlights will shine on Case student groups and their legacies
A Homecoming rich in tradition will make room for some special events and reunions this fall, owing to landmark anniversaries and a lasting esprit de corps. Student groups that sing, help humanity, and launch civil engineers plan to relive prized memories this Homecoming, Oct. 8-11.
The Case Glee Club will be celebrating its 130th year with a reunion and sing along, while the Case chapter of the American So-ciety of Civil Engineers plans a reunion and showcase in the Bingham Building in honor of its centennial. Both student groups rank among the oldest on campus.
Meanwhile, younger but equally ear-nests student groups—Engineers Without Borders, Humanitarian Design Corps, and MedWish—will celebrate 20 years of helping the less fortunate with engineering projects and medical supplies.
“All of these groups have a rich history and fond memories, so the anticipation is high,” said Kelly Hendricks, the director of alumni engagement for the Case Alumni Association. “People are excited to get back together on campus and recall where it
all began.”
That homecoming spirit will also pervade traditional highlights:
