New faculty join a proud tradition

Dear alumni and friends of the Case School of Engineering,

As we start 2025, we are proud to reflect on another year of growth and success at the Case School of Engineering.

Our foundation has been built by generations of dedicated faculty whose passion for discovery and commitment to education defined the Case School of Engineering. Their efforts established the groundwork for who we are today: a leader in transformative research and education. This legacy inspires us as we welcome a new cohort of faculty who are advancing our mission in impactful ways.

This past year, 13 individuals joined the Case School of Engineering — you’ll read about some of them later in this issue. Since 2020, the school has welcomed 43 new faculty members who have expertise in electrochemistry, human fusions, point-of-care diagnostics, computer science, robotics, and advanced manufacturing, among other fields — research areas that are critical to the advancement of human life. Their work is both deepening our expertise in these fields as well as creating more opportunities for meaningful collaboration across disciplines.

Our students are the greatest beneficiaries of this growth. Our faculty members are committed to the student experience and dedicated to helping students to thrive on campus and beyond. From cutting-edge research opportunities to hands-on projects and industry partnerships, when students leave Case Western Reserve University, they are equipped with the skills, confidence, and support needed to tackle complex problems.
